Temple Dedication

We had an amazing opportunity on Friday, March 20th. The Draper, UT temple was dedicated and we got tickets to be in the temple during the first dedicatory session. We couldn't take cameras, so no, this isn't a picture I took myself, but it was awesome. The session started at 9:00 am, but we had to arrive at a chapel to shuttle up there at 7:00 am. Ethan slept over at Grandma and Grandpa Burton's house (this was the first time I've left him overnight). We were seated in the temple a little before 8:00 in the terrestrial room. President Monson presided, and since it was the first session, we also got in on the cornerstone ceremony. We also heard from President Eyring, and President Packer. It isn't an experience we'll soon forget.
We also got to participate in the openhouse that has been going on for the past couple of months. We got to help usher in the temple, I got to help prepare food during VIP week, and I also had the chance to accompany a good friend in my ward when she played her violin in the reception area in the chapel next to the temple. All in all, it seemed like an experience of a lifetime. How blessed we are to have so many temples so close. We definietly don't have an excuse not to attend.

Ultrasound

We got these ultrasound images at our first doctor's appointment February 27th. The top is a profile, and in the bottom one, you can make out both arms and a leg. It is so amazing how even after only a few weeks, you can already tell it's a little person in there. What a miracle!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our little Leprechaun.

Cardboard House

Last night for Family Home Evening, we talked a little bit about temples and how they are Heavenly Father's house. I admit, this was a little over Ethan's head, but he did love the cardboard house Jason build for him. We taped a picture of a temple as well as a family picture inside. It has shutters, a place to hold a drink, a phone, and even some containers for things to play with. It was hard to convince him to go to bed last night, and all he's wanted to do all day today was play inside. It has been really fun. I'm always amazed at the fun things Jason comes up with.

Toilet Paper Party

A couple months ago I was working upstairs and Ethan was playing. After a couple minutes I noticed it had gotten very quiet. Sure enough, he found the jackpot of toilet paper in the bathroom. I decided we better get a picture before we cleaned it up.

Big Brother

Here is a cute picture of Ethan getting ready to be a big brother.
